FLICKERS Horror Festival Coming Oct 27
Monday, 17 October 2011
A splattering (sorry) of celluloid horror will be arriving on the big screen this Halloween, by way of
the FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival.
Between October 27th and October 30th a whole host of horrible goodies can be enjoyed. This year's festival will begin, officially, on Thursday, 27th October at 19:00, at the Bell Street Chapel Theatre, 5 Bell Street, Providence. The Opening Night features a series of international shorts and the feature film State of Emergency directed by Turner Clay.
Friday 28th offers a preview of the highly anticipated horror film Inkubus. The free program, called “Behind the Camera Lens,” will feature actor Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Freddy vs. Jason, Hatchet), director Glenn Ciano and Producer Chad A. Verdi, who will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their new film.
Saturday 29th features a collection of shorts from around the world while an exclusive screening of Scream 4 and Kevin MacDonald’s Beg can be had from 19:00.
Sunday 30th and it's the annual H.P. Lovecraft Walking Tour.
